I purchased a Styling service, what happens next?
After you purchase your service, you will be directed to a page to fill in details about you, your style, and what you want your Stylist to shop for. This should take ~5-10 minutes and you can fill in as little or as much as you want.
Within 24 hours from submitting your details, your Stylist will review the project and accept it, then they will start shopping! Depending on what service you purchased (see our How it Works page), in as little as one day or as long as five days, your Stylist will send you shoppable links for review.
Once you receive the shoppable links, you will have a chance to provide feedback to the Stylist and request a revision (you get two revisions). The Stylist will then iterate on the links and send through updated links.
What are shoppable links?
Shoppable links are images and text that you can click and it will direct you to the website to make a purchase. For example, if your Stylist sends you a shoppable link to a coat, once you click the link it will take you to the product page on the Brand’s website to purchase it yourself.
Where do the recommendations from the Stylists come from?
The benefit of using Rove is that our recommendations are 100% unbiased. The recommendations are based on what the Stylist thinks will work best for you based on their experience - brands, websites, and styles they know and trust enough to recommend. Stylists are paid a fixed amount per service and they do not receive any sales commission. They are solely incentivized to help you feel your best.
Why are some Stylists labeled Professionals and some labeled Experts?
There is a varying range of experience our Stylists bring to the table; some Stylists have worked in the industry and have years of experience providing styling services whereas some may not have formally styled but have worked in retail and have self-taught expertise. The two levels - Professional and Expert - are reflected in the pricing which represents the level of experience the Stylist has.
What happens if a Stylist sends a link to an item that is out of stock?
Unfortunately, this may happen from time to time as an item’s stock fluctuates. If it does happen, let your Stylist know via the chat function and they will quickly work to source a new item without it counting as a revision.
I purchased a video call with a Stylist, what happens next?
Your Stylist will review your Project within 24 hours and accept it. Once they have accepted your project, they will message you via the chat function times they are available to meet in the upcoming week. Next, you will schedule a video call on the Project page (see "My Projects" and select the relevant Project.)
Once you have scheduled a call on the platform, you will receive a Google calendar invite for the time you set-up. If you need to reschedule, you can do so via the Google calendar invite or on the platform.
What happens if I am not happy with my service?
We are really sorry to hear this. If you have not yet used your allowable revisions, then we recommend you provide your Stylist with feedback on what you did and did not like. If you are still not happy after two rounds of revisions, then reach out to us (support@shopwithrove.com) and we will work together to find a solution. It is really important to us that you walk away happy with the expert help you needed.
